The Bolt Hole offers a unique chance to stay in the centre of the delightful town of Winchcombe with its timbered inns, coffee shops and restaurants including the celebrated “Restaurant 5 North Street” owned and run by Chef Gus Ashenford who has won 4 separate Michelin stars. Winchcombe is a great location with a wealth of delightful walks and cycle routes on the doorstep. So you’ll experience a Cotswold town at its finest! Soak up the scenery with a walk or cycle around this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty or a take stroll alongside the River Isbourne. Discover the fascinating history and centuries-old architecture of this charming Cotswold town or simply unwind in our breath-taking countryside.
The Bolt Hole has been fully refurbished with a Clearview log burner, fully equipped kitchen and delightful bedroom with views from the bed of the beautiful countryside. The cottage is in the centre of Winchcombe and there is free unrestricted parking a few minutes walk from the property. The first floor bedroom provides 500+ thread-count cotton bed linen, a large king size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a roll-top bath to relax in after a days walking and exploring.

The delightful open plan living/dining room/kitchen has every appliance you should need as well as a log-burner and wall-mounted Smart TV. quality appliances, including a washing machine, dishwasher, 6-ring hob, double oven, fridge with freezer box and microwave.
You are in the centre of the village with a wealth of charming shops, restaurants, and pubs. The village is surrounded by stunning scenery and there are and a wealth of walks directly from the doorstep including the Winchcombe way, Cotswolds Way and Isbourne Way - a personalised walking map is provided for guests.. A few minutes stroll away is the famous Sudely Castle - steeped in history and home to Royals of the past..
Only a few miles away by car or train is the regency spa town of Cheltenham with the famous Cheltenham racecourse. There are also many National Trust properties to explore nearby.
Other nearby towns and villages that are a worth a visit include nearby Bourton-on-the-water, Stow-on-the-Wold, Moreton-in-Marsh (with its regular Tuesday market), Burford, Broadway and Chipping Campden.
In order for guests to relax on their last morning, like all our properties, The Bolt Hole has a later check-out than many other similar properties of 11.00am. The Cottage is the perfect choice for a relaxing stay, in one of the most charming villages of the Cotswolds.
