We appreciate that all holiday lets are not made the same and so we have outlined below some of the most common questions our guests ask us so that you can see at a glance the answers to some of your most pressing questions:
What is supplied?
We supply: tea, coffee, milk sachets and some little snacks to get your started. We also supply toilet roll, bin bags, washing up liquid, dish washer tablets and where there is a log burner a starter basket of logs, kindling and firelighters
For the bathroom we supply: hand and bath towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner and body wash
For the bedrooms we supply: all linen and two types of pillows; soft medium and medium firm
Iron, ironing board and a hairdryer are in each property
What are the parking arrangements?
Little Gem Cottage, Hideaway Cottage and Honey Pot have their own parking spaces by the properties
The Loft parking is free on nearby streets and detailed suggestions of where to find free parking are in your pre-arrival email
The Bolt Hole parking is on street and free a 5 mins walk in a choice of either direction from the cottage. We will also provide directions on your pre-arrival email. At the Bolt Hole, we always load and unload first directly outside the cottage and then move the car.
What time is check-in and check-out?
Check in is usually from 3pm and check out is 11am. We want you to be able to enjoy your last morning with us so have made it later than many other holiday rentals, however we do request that you do leave by 11am sharp to allow us enough time to get the property ready for our next guests.
If we can accommodate a complimentary later check-out or earlier check-in we are happy to do so if at all possible (i.e. if we have a day between guests stays) and if you would like to request this we ask that you contact your local housekeeper the day before your arrival or departure to check if this is possible.
Can you provide any recommendations?
With your pre-arrival email we provide a link to a range of eating and activity suggestions. We will send this email around 15 days arrival. During busy times and weekends we advise pre-booking before your stay.
Are there any good walks from the cottages?
We supply a personalised walking map with your cottage at the centre of the map so that you can walk directly from the doorstep. Other walks are suggested in the guest information at your cottage.
Are your cottages dog friendly?
We welcome adult, house-trained dogs at The Loft, Little Gem Cottage, Hideaway Cottage and The Bolt Hole. Unfortunately, we cannot accept dogs at Honey Pot due to a clause in our lease. Please let us know if you are bringing a 4 legged friend when you book so that we can welcome them with a dog bed, and dog bowls. We do request that dogs are not allowed upstairs/into the bedrooms and are not left unattended at the cottages. We do not charge extra for welcoming dogs but if your dog moults we request that you clear up after them before you leave.
Are the local pubs, restaurants and shops dog friendly?
The Cotswolds is very dog friendly. Virtually all pubs and restaurants welcome dogs as do most shops. More details are provided in our pre-arrival email.
Do you have a secure outside space at your cottages?
All cottages except The Bolt Hole have private outside space. The Loft has a secure terrace, Honey Pot has a front patio garden and Little Gem and Hideaway Cottage have a secure back patio garden. These can all be seen in the photos of each property.
Though the Bolt Hole does not have outside space, we do welcome dogs as there are fantastic walks from the doorstep and we find our dogs just crash out when home in front of the log burner. There is a grassy area a short walk from the cottage for late night toilet stops.
How do I book with you?
The best way to book with us is direct with us via our website. We guarantee that the rates will be lowest on our website compared to any third party booking agent. We take credit card payments through our secure payment processor Stripe.
What are your cancellation terms?
Our cancellation terms are also the most favourable for bookings made here, directly on our website. These are:
Full refund is your stay is cancelled 28 days or more before your stay, (less a small admin fee of £50).
65% refund for cancellations between 8 and 28 days before your stay.
Less than 7 days notice – full payment is due.
We advise that guests take out travel insurance.

Do you accept children?
We welcome babes in arms to our cottages. As they are designed for couples seeking a getaway and space is limited, we do not advise bringing older babies or children. We can supply a cot and highchair at The Bolt Hole and Hideaway Cottage and a cot at little gem cottage.
Are you available during our stay?
Each property has its own local housekeeper who can be contacted during your stay. We will provide their details in our pre-arrival email and at the cottage. We want you to have an excellent trip and so we are there for you if you have any questions or need help with anything during your stay.
Do you have WIFI?
Yes all cottages have WIFI and many guest have been able to work from the cottages using the WIFI.
Do you have SMART Tv’s?
All of our properties have SMART TV’s so that you can sign in to your own movie and TV streaming service. Some have Smart TV’s in the bedroom too.
Are there any EV charging points at the properties?
There is an EV charging point at Honey Pot, Chipping Campden and Hideaway Cottage, Bourton-on-the-water. You will need the Monta EV charging app to use it.
